Welcome to Here & Heard!, an initiative amplifying survivor voices through creative expression. We ask survivors to share what genuinely interests them beyond trauma-focused narratives. We warmly invite submissions from all survivors.
Types of Submissions Accepted:

1. Videos
Length: Up to 5 minutes
Content: Digital storytelling, spoken word, short films, artistic videos, or any creative digital expression about topics that matter to you.
Compensation: $100 per selected feature
2. Written Pieces
Length: No specific length requirement—write as much or as little as you want.
Content: Any written work on topics that excite or inspire you. Submissions can include poetry, essays, opinion articles, analytical pieces, reflections, creative fiction, or other expressive forms of writing.
Compensation: $25 per selected piece
Examples of Possible Written Topics:
Personal reflections on growth or empowerment
Creative poetry or short stories about your interests or hobbies
Opinion articles discussing societal or community issues
Analytical essays on advocacy, policy, or rights issues (including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ rights)
Explorations of subjects you're passionate about (art, science, activism, nature, etc.)

Here & Heard! provides a supportive platform where survivors can express themselves freely on any topic that they find meaningful. We aim to expand the narrative around survivors beyond trauma, highlighting the richness and diversity of survivors’ interests, ideas, and passions. We aim to:
Celebrate creative freedom and genuine self-expression.
Offer a safe space for survivors to share topics they deeply care about.
Encourage authentic dialogue on diverse interests, including social justice and rights-related topics.

Submissions should authentically represent your unique voice and interests.
We strongly value originality, creativity, and open self-expression.
You may choose to submit anonymously.
Content submitted that is harmful, offensive, or potentially harmful to viewers will be immediately deleted, and future submissions from the associated email will no longer be accepted.

Submissions for the upcoming month must be received by the last Friday of the current month.
Written Pieces: Published weekly every Monday.
Videos: Featured monthly on the last Friday.
Submissions are open year-round.
