Rise up from the ashes. Fly like a phoenix.
Healing the Aftermath
Once survivors of trafficking are safe, there are still pieces of the puzzle that need to be put into place. There are lingering effects of their exploitation, and we aim to help heal the aftermath, ensuring they feel safe and confident in their bodies, online presence, and living situations.
Web scrubbing involves the removal of harmful images and videos from online platforms. This service helps survivors by eliminating distressing content that may have been shared without their consent, protecting their privacy, and aiding in the process of moving forward. It's a crucial step in ensuring their online presence is safe and empowering.
Our web scrubbing page is still in development, and more organizational referrals will be available soon. In the meantime, we have a partnership with one organization that will assist by referral only. Please fill out the contact information form to learn more.
Tattoo cover-ups can play a significant role in the healing process for survivors who were branded by their exploiters. By covering or transforming these tattoos, scars, or burns, survivors can reclaim their bodies and remove visible reminders of their trauma. This provides a sense of freedom, helping them to feel more confident and secure in their own skin.
We feature ARI, a survivor-founded organization, with a network of trauma-informed tattoo artists who can fund cover-up tattoos when funding is available. Survivor Source will also be funding tattoo cover-ups once the resources are in place.
