Survivor Source is a survivor-led organization connecting survivors of human trafficking to community, resources, and professional development.
What began as a simple directory has grown into a national movement built by survivors, for survivors. We help survivors build skills, grow their networks, and find opportunities that support long-term healing, leadership, and empowerment.
Through projects like the Survivor Career Community (SCC) and collaborations with survivor-led and ally organizations, we’re creating spaces where lived experience drives solutions and systems change.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that survivors should never have to rebuild their lives alone. Survivor Source began from lived experience — born from the challenges faced navigating life after exploitation, from recovery and identity to rebuilding community and purpose.
Recognizing the gaps in support and understanding, Survivor Source was created to connect survivors with real, accessible resources and opportunities for growth.

About the Founder
Lara K is the founder of Survivor Source and leads the Survivor Career Community (SCC).
A survivor leader, strategist, and advocate, she combines lived experience with professional expertise to build trauma-informed, survivor-led systems of change.
She also serves as Senior Policy Associate at The Woolf Group, advancing inclusive, ethical, and survivor-informed approaches to leadership and policy.
Music can be a powerful form of healing.
Soundtrack for Success is a survivor-curated playlist created to uplift, inspire, and empower, a reflection of the resilience and creativity within our community.
The playlist features songs chosen by survivors and allies across the country, intentionally inclusive and free from violent, sexual, or religious content.
It’s a space for shared strength and self-expression, a reminder that healing doesn’t always look clinical; sometimes it sounds like your favorite song.
