Survivor Source is a survivor-led organization connecting survivors of human trafficking with essential resources. Think of us as a 211 for us, started by us! We're building a nationwide directory of survivor-focused organizations to help survivors find support and services in their communities. Welcome to Survivor Source, founded by a survivor leader who overcame a decade of trafficking from childhood into young adulthood. Our mission is rooted in lived experience, survivor empowerment, and systemic change.
Survivor Source emerged from the urgent need our founder encountered when navigating life after exploitation. The challenges faced were significant—from mental health recovery and visible tattoo branding by exploiters to confronting ongoing trauma due to exploitative online images and videos. Recognizing these barriers underscored the importance of providing comprehensive, compassionate resources and support.
Today, Survivor Source actively supports survivors nationwide by providing a continuously updated directory of survivor-oriented organizations, resources, and referrals. Our services range from tattoo removal and online content removal referrals to professional development through our Survivor Career Community, peer support initiatives, paid creative expression opportunities, and advocacy to amplify survivor voices, particularly those marginalized by gender identity or race.
No survivor should ever have to face their journey alone. At Survivor Source, we're here to offer vital support, meaningful resources, and genuine hope as survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and empowerment.

We're also working towards building a nationwide network of state representatives to ensure resources are tailored to each state's specific needs.
Beyond Survival, Building a Future: Our vision extends beyond immediate needs. We are looking to partner in communities in the future to offer survivors career development, educational opportunities, and harmful online content removal, empowering them to thrive.
