Rise up from the ashes. Fly like a phoenix.
Art of the Fight is where strength, creativity, and community come together. Hosted by Survivor Source, The Woolf Group, Hoshin Dojo, and The Dragonfly Home, this first-of-its-kind event brought together 25 survivors from across the country for a weekend of self-defense, art, and leadership.
The purpose was simple but powerful: to create a space where survivors could reclaim both body and voice—learning how to defend themselves, express themselves, and connect with others who share similar lived experiences.
Each moment of Art of the Fight was designed by survivors, for survivors—proving that empowerment isn’t just about fighting back, but also about creating, rebuilding, and leading forward.
Hoshin Dojo partnered with us for AOF, and led us through a self-defense training. Where strength meets strategy. Survivors learned practical self-defense and situational awareness — reclaiming confidence, safety, and power in their own bodies.
Creativity as resistance. Through guided art sessions, survivors expressed growth, healing, and resilience — transforming pain into purpose and color into hope.
Connection in action. Over shared meals and laughter, survivors built friendships, exchanged stories, and discovered that healing grows strongest together.
Honoring the bond between courage and care. Luna and DevilDog Canine reminded us that healing isn’t just about surviving — it’s about finding comfort, support, and trust again.
